About Cub Scouts

Cubs are boys and girls aged between 8 and 10½.

The Cub Scout training programme provides many different opportunities that offer fun, challenge, adventure, imagination, creativity, excitement and friendship.

Throughout the programme, Cub Scouts learn to help others, take care of themselves and their environment, to experience basic Scout craft and contribute to their local community in many ways.

They will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. And if they do them properly they will get a badge which can be worn on their uniform.

Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo or theme parks.

Sometimes they go camping with the rest of the pack. This will mean sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.
