Night Hike - 03-03-2006
The younger Scouts planned a shorter route around the Tovil Scout Hut and learnt how to use maps and compasses in the dark. It was very cold but despite that all battled on to complete their routes. This was a fantastic achievement for everyone involved. I the summer the Troop is going to continue its hiking in warmer weather in the Ashdown Forest. Watch this space for more. About Scouts
On Friday 3rd March the scout Troop went to Tovil Scout HQ for a Night hike. We split into two groups. The older Scouts planned a 10 mile route from East Malling to Tovil. They wrote detailed route cards of their journey so that the leaders could follow their progress.
