Centenary Camp - 28-05-2007On Friday 25th May the whole group met at Hamlet Wood Camp site for our Centenary Celebration Camp. The Event was started with investigaures of Cubs and Scouts. Friday Night was juts for Cubs, Scouts and Exoplorers and we spent the evening explorering Hamlet Wood and playing some wide games. On Saturday we got up bright and early as we had a long daya ahead of us. In the moring we built a swing boat and shelters from sticks and leaves. After lunch we cooked some sausages and camp doungunts on open fires. We also had a go on the Swing boat that we had made and everyone, including leaders, were able to have a go at climbing on the climbing tower. After a lovely dinner we all met up around the camp fire and had a supurbe camp fire with singing, dancing, and camp fire stunts. After such a long and fun packed day most people were very tired and we all went to bed and slept well. On Sunday it did not start as well as it was raining which meant we had to get all the tents down as quickly as possible and pack away. We finished the camp off as we had started it investing 3 new scouts. During the weekend a photograher from the Kent Messenger came and took some pictures of us doing the activities.A A A A A Everyone had a great time.
